Let’s talk about the part of life we so often avoid – the uncertain, the unplanned, the uncomfortable… the unknown. While the unknown can feel unsettling, stir up every part of us that craves certainty, safety and control…

The truth is.. It’s only when we step into the unknown whole-heartedly, that we can experience growth, expansion, something new, and more aligned with who we are. For the most profound transformation happens when we’re willing to embrace the unknown.

In today’s episode on I Love Me The Podcast, I’ll be guiding you into a deeper relationship with the unknown – helping you see why it’s not only safe to lean in, but essential for your growth, your joy, and the beautiful life you are here to live.

So, let’s breathe together, soften our grip on certainty… and step with open hearts into the vastness of possibility.

Today, as I sat reflecting on what I most wanted to share with you, one word kept coming through loud and clear: The unknown.

Right now, my little family and I are standing at the edge of big change – preparing to move cities once again, and making all kinds of life shifts to accompany that move.

And to be honest, for a little while, I was deep in the uncertainty of it all.

I felt stressed.

Unsettled.

Questioning everything.

Caught in that familiar human longing to find the ‘right’ decision… and fast.

But the more I tried to force certainty, the tighter everything felt.

It wasn’t until I softened, until I surrendered to the unknown, that something beautiful began to unfold.

And the answers that I’d been reaching for, started to gently come into my line of sight, all in perfect timing.

Today, I want to share with you what I’ve learnt during this chapter of my life – and how we can all begin to not just survive the unknown, but trust it, welcome it, and even fall in love with it.

Because the unknown isn’t here to punish us.

It’s here to open us.The unknown is the rich, fertile soil where our deepest growth happens.

That is of course…

If we’re willing to lean in, stay curious, and trust that what’s unfolding is always, always working for us, even if we can’t yet see the full picture.

So, if you’ve been holding back, not feeling quite ready to step out into the unknown in one or more areas of your life, I invite you to come on this journey with me.

Because, this is the perfect time.

Especially if you’re in the Southern Hemisphere like me, where it’s Winter.

Winter is the season of the unknown.

The perfect time to dance in the mystery.

All around, nature is whispering to us:

‘Come deeper.’

Winter draws us inward – into the quiet places.

Into the stillness where new life is quietly forming under the surface.

Into the parts of ourselves that we don’t yet fully know.

Winter reminds us:

It’s safe to slow down.

It’s safe to not have all the answers yet.

It’s safe to trust the unfolding.

And to realise that…

The unknown is not your enemy.

It’s the rich, dark soil where our dreams can take root and grow.

This is why when we step out into the unknown we don’t have all the answers at our fingertips.

They’re still underground, preparing to sprout into our awareness.

When we get that feeling that it’s time to step out into the unknown, it’s like there’s this period of transition.

We know something needs to shift, but we often don’t have all the details just yet.

And that can feel scary.

Because our mind loves certainty.

It likes to know what’s next.

The ‘how’.

And where to from there!

The mind holds on fast to plans, and trys to build walls of predictability.

But when we stay inside what’s familiar to the mind, to what we currently know, we stay where we are.

Stuck in the same old patterns, doing the same thing day in day out, and wondering why life doesn’t feel as full or vibrant as it could be.

There is no avenue for growth or expansion, when we stay still.

In the known.

Imagine for a moment:

If you always stayed where it felt safe…

If you always clung to what you knew…

You would never discover what you’re truly capable of.

You would never feel the thrill of a life that is fully lived.

You would never taste the sweetness of true transformation.

It’s out there – but it’s beyond the familiar, that magic happens.

And I know it can feel uncomfortable.

Stepping into the unknown can feel like stepping off the edge without a map.

But you do have something to guide you:

You have your own inner compass.

You have your dreams, your desires, your intuition, or as I like to call it your True Self – pulling you toward the life that’s meant for you.

I share more about how to listen to this inner voice  of wisdom in Episodes 3 and 4:

Fill Yourself Up With Love.

Meet Your True Self.

What’s important to know, is that:

You don’t need the whole map to take the next step.

You just need the willingness to move toward what feels true.

What lights you up.

What resonates with your truest self.

What I need to emphasis here, is that…

The unknown is not empty; it is alive.

It is the sacred, fertile ground where your soul dances with the infinite possibilities of existence. When you step into the unknown, you are not stepping into nothingness – you’re stepping into everything.

The unknown is the place where creation begins, where your deepest dreams are quietly waiting for you to claim them.

It’s the canvas the Universe offers you, asking only that you bring your courage and your trust.

Every time you lean into what you cannot yet see, you say ‘Yes’ to life itself – to growth, to magic, to a version of yourself that you haven’t yet met, but who has been calling you all along.

One of the most powerful strategies for leaning into the unknown is learning to be deeply present with what is, rather than trying to predict or control what’s coming.

When we bring our awareness back to this moment – to our breath, to the sensations in our body, to the simple act of being here – the fear of ‘what might happen’ starts to dissolve.

The mind loves to race ahead, weaving stories of what could go wrong.

But when we anchor into the now, we realise that in this moment, we are safe.

We are capable.

We are whole.

Each time you feel fear rise, simply breathe, feel your feet on the ground, and remind yourself:

I can meet life as it comes. I don’t have to have all the answers right now.

In these moments of uncertainty, it’s not that we need to have all the answers, but we need to embrace the process of becoming comfortable with not knowing.

Being comfy with being uncomfy.

This is the practice that turns fear into trust, and uncertainty into possibility.

When we can stop trying to figure it all out yesterday, we can create space for the universe to bring something better into our reality.

For like I said, everything is being created beneath the surface of our awareness.

It may not feel like anything’s happening.

Like we’re lost at sea without an anchor.

But in the depths, magic is happening.

Our deepest dreams and longings are coming into existence.

If only we can stand tall, trust that all of this uncertainty is here to move us into a more expansive way of being and doing life.

We won’t know all the answers when we first leave the safer waters.

And that’s because the seed we’ve planted is still germinating.

But it we keep taking the aligned actions and steps we are being shown to take, the answers and opportunities for something far better than what we thought was possible, will arise into our consciousness and then into our reality.

It’s important that you understand:

Whatever feels good for you, is what your soul wants for you.

There’s something else I want to mention here.

It’s normal to feel uncertain.

It’s okay to have doubts.

It’s fine to not have everything figured out.

So often, we think we should feel completely confident, 100% certain, and fully at peace before we make a move.

But let me tell you this:

No one has it all figured out.

It’s totally ok to wobble, to question, to second-guess.

That is a part of the process.

The thing you really need to understand, is:

You don’t need to wait for all the answers.

You don’t need to feel ‘ready’ to step into the unknown.

You just need to trust yourself enough to take the next step, even if you don’t know where the path leads.

You don’t need to wait for the stars to align.

You just need to move.

For it’s in that movement, that action, where the answers start to appear.

What I feel is important to add, is…

Stepping into the unknown isn’t just about facing uncertainty; it’s about creating space for expansion.

In the unknown there are no limits.

No ceilings.

When we stay in the familiar, we’re often holding ourselves back from the limitless possibilities that lie just outside our comfort zone.

However, the unknown is a blank canvas, waiting for us to paint the life we’ve been dreaming of.

By embracing the unfamiliar, we allow ourself to stretch, grow, and discover parts of ourself that were previously hidden.

The beauty of the unknown is that it invites us to expand beyond the limits we’ve placed on ourselves, to tap into potential we didn’t even know we had.

And in doing so, we become the truest version of ourself – someone who’s not afraid to chase dreams, learn new things, and experience life fully.

So, as you listen today, I want to invite you to reflect on something personal.

Where in your life are you being asked to step into the unknown right now?

Maybe it’s a new career opportunity, a new relationship, a new lifestyle choice – or maybe it’s something more subtle, like stepping into a new way of being.

Something deep within you knows that it’s time for change, time to leap into something new.

So lean in.

Lean into the unknown.

Lean into the mystery.

Lean into the deep, dark beauty of becoming.

Trust that the unknown is here to serve you – not to scare you.

Because what’s waiting for you on the other side?

Is a life more expansive, more joyful, more breathtaking than you can even imagine right now.

Thank you for journeying with me today.

Until next time – stay brave, stay curious, and keep stepping into the wonder of who you are becoming.

Because the life you dream of…

The growth you crave..

The deeper connection to yourself and the world around you?

It all lives on the other side of the unknown.
