What if the only thing standing between you and your dream life… is your imagination?
Today on I Love Me The Podcast, we’re talking about how to stop letting fear and doubt write the story, and start using the power of visualisation to dream BIG, align with your truest self, and create a life beyond what your mind says is possible.
Okay, confession time:
I am obsessed with imagination.
Not the ‘head-in-the-clouds’ kind your primary school teacher warned you about, but the kind that helps you create a juicy, joy-filled life that feels so right it lights up your soul.
You see, imagination is not just a cute idea—it’s one of the most powerful tools we have for rewiring our mind and rewriting our life.
It’s like a paintbrush, and your life is the canvas.
If you don’t like the picture you’re living in, then you can very simply, change the brush strokes.
Because here’s the thing:
Your body doesn’t know the difference between what’s real and what’s imagined.
Yes, science says so!
When you vividly visualise something—like walking on stage, healing a health issue, or living in your dream home—your brain lights up as if it’s actually happening.
Same neural pathways, same physical response.
You can activate joy, confidence, even healing in the body through imagination.
Athletes use this all the time.
Olympic skiers ‘ski’ the entire course in their minds before they hit the slope—and performance improves dramatically.
Studies in neuroscience and psychology have even shown that athletes build ‘muscle strength’ through mental rehearsal alone.
And that’s not magic.
That’s your brain responding to your inner movie reel.
If you’re body isn’t well, visualise it being well.
Patients recovering from surgery who visualise their bodies healing tend to recover faster.
And we can use this visualisation to help improve performance, enhance motivation and even reduce anxiety.
If you do experience anxiety, have a listen to Episode 31.
I teach you a 2-minute visualisation technique that can help reset your nervous system and calm your mind fast.
It’s one of my favourite tools, and it really works.
So, what movie are you playing?
Because we cannot create what we cannot imagine.
And if your imagination is clogged up with self-doubt, anxiety, and old beliefs about what you’ve been told is ‘realistic’, then no wonder life feels small.
This is why visualisation is such a powerful way to crack open the window and let in possibility.
It helps you rise above your current belief system—the same system that says you can’t, or you’re not ready, or ‘who do you think you are?’ to do this, that or the other.
You are a divine, powerful, creative being, that has it within you to create something profound with your life.
And this is why in my Remarkable Relationships course, I guide my clients through beautiful, soul-nourishing visualisations to help them connect with this part of themself—the part that knows their worth, their magic, and their power to create more than they could ever imagine.
If you want to experience the version of you who already has the healthy body, the peaceful mind, the soulmate love, or the financial abundance— visualisation is your portal.
You don’t have to know how it will happen.
You just need to start imagining it.
And you don’t need hours each day—just a few minutes of intentional imagining, consistently.
So…
If you’ve been feeling stuck, unclear, or unsure what you even want—start by imagining.
Maybe set a goal around an area of your life that’s not working as well as you’d like it to be, like I shared with you last week.
Or…
Imagine the opposite of your current challenge.
Imagine something better.
Imagine what your True Self would be guiding you toward, if fear and doubt weren’t holding the mic.
And if your inner critic pipes up with, ‘But that’s not realistic’, you just smile and say: ‘Oh, but it can be’.
The only reason something feels unrealistic is because you haven’t yet experienced it.
But every reality begins as an idea.
Someone once imagined flying through the sky.
And now we call that a 6am flight to Bali.
There is a saying:
‘I’ll believe it when I see it’.
But it doesn’t actually work that way.
We need to see it – in our mind’s eye – first!
So ask yourself:
What would life look like, if I wasn’t constrained by limitations?
If I could have anything…
What would it be?
Maybe you’ve had an ongoing health issue that you’ve accepted will be with you longterm.
What if this wasn’t the case?
What if you could triple your earnings in a year?
One of my clients did exactly that, from the techniques I taught her.
What if you could have the most delicious, inspiring relationship with your partner?
What if…
That is the question you need to be asking yourself.
I’ve had serious health issues that I’ve been told by multiple professionals would need surgery or would be with me for life…
And that was never the case, because I decided to imagine a different future for myself.
And then, take the necessary steps to allow that future in.
I share more about my journey out of depression in Episode 32 and how I healed precancerous cells in my cervix in my Yoga for the Vagina program.
So yes—dream big.
Dream beyond what you believe is possible.
Let imagination be your way of stretching into who you’re becoming.
And if visualising your dream life feels hard right now, just know—it’s a muscle.
The more you practice, the stronger it gets.
Try this:
Next time you sit down to visualise, close your eyes and ask:
- What does this version of me look like?
- What am I feeling in my body?
- What am I doing with my time?
- Who’s around me?
- What’s my internal dialogue?
And here’s the magic trick:
Don’t limit yourself to what you think you can have.
Just play..
Daydream.
Have fun.
Because joy and fun are your soul’s language.
And if you want a visual anchor, Vision Boards are a great next step—which, by the way, I’ll be diving into next week!
Get your glitter and glue ready.
So, what would your life look like without limitation?
What if you really could have the health, the wealth, the love, the inner peace?
Imagine it.
Feel it.
And know that just by doing that, you’re already creating it.
