So… you’ve got a dream.
Or at least the feeling of one trying to bubble up.
But how do you hold onto that dream when life gets noisy, doubt creeps in, or you’re just not feeling clear?
That’s where today’s topic comes in:
Vision Boards!
Today on I Love Me the Podcast, we’re diving into how to make your dreams visible, vibrant, and magnetic.
And if you’re a bit of a skeptic, and think Vision Boards are just fluff and woo-woo, we’ll be diving into the psychology behind why they work!
Simple, inspiring lessons in self-love. Hello gorgeous, it’s Tamra here.
You know how I said last week, that…
We cannot create what we cannot imagine?
Well, Vision Boards are imagination’s best friend.
They’re like a physical Pinterest board for your soul’s desires.
A sacred collage of ‘yes please’.
But they’re not just pretty pictures.
A Vision Board is a way of telling your subconscious, ‘Hey, this is what we’re calling in. This is where we’re going.’
It’s visual proof that your desires exist—even before they’ve arrived.
And that’s where the magic begins.
Because your brain loves visuals.
In fact, it processes images 60,000 times faster than text.
And when you repeatedly see those images—of a peaceful home, a joyful relationship, a healthy body, a thriving business—you start to believe they’re possible.
Your subconscious starts working toward them.
You start spotting opportunities.
You start saying ‘Yes’ to things that align with what’s on that board.
Ok… so let’s look at the science…
There’s a part of your brain called the Reticular Activating System or RAS for short.
It filters information based on what it thinks is important.
So when you create a Vision Board, you’re basically giving your RAS a new set of instructions. ‘Hey, look for this now.’
And suddenly, what felt invisible—like aligned friendships, a path to your dream work or the house you didn’t think you could afford—those things start showing up.
Now before you grab the glue stick and go wild, let’s take a moment to get intentional.
Here’s how to create a Vision Board that actually works:
Step 1: Get Clear on What You Want
Don’t worry if you’re not crystal clear.
Start with a feeling.
Ask yourself:
- How do I want to feel in my relationships?
- What kind of experiences light me up?
- What environments nourish me?
- What’s a lifestyle that feels like me?
You don’t need perfect clarity—you just need direction.
And if you need help tapping into this, come join us in the Remarkable Relationships course.
We go deep into this with visualisation tracks that help you connect with the version of you who already lives this vision.
Step 2: Gather Your Materials
This can be digital or physical!
- Magazines, photos, words, quotes, textures
- Scissors, glue, corkboard, scrapbook paper
- Or an app like Canva, Pinterest, or Milanote if you want to go digital
Put on music that matches the vibe of what you’re calling in.
Parisian café jazz?
Ocean waves?
Gospel soul?
Go full aesthetic.
Then…
Step 3: Trust Your Intuition
This is key.
Don’t overthink it.
Let your hands pick what your heart is drawn to.
A flower, a phrase, a sunset, a pair of hiking boots… it doesn’t have to ‘make sense.’
It just has to feel like you.
The energy behind what you’re choosing is far more powerful than the logic of it.
Step 4: Place It Where You’ll See It
This is where repetition comes in.
Place your Vision Board somewhere visible:
By your bed, your desk, inside your wardrobe, as your phone background—anywhere you’ll see it often.
Ideally, multiple times a day.
And don’t just glance at it—dwell in it.
Let yourself feel what it would be like to live that life.
What does that version of you think, say, do, believe?
This practice activates your body’s nervous system, aligns your thoughts and actions, and begins drawing your vision closer.
Now, I want to address something here—because I hear it all the time:
‘But isn’t this just wishful thinking?’
‘Don’t I need to be realistic?’
Here’s the thing:
Being ‘realistic’ is often code for ‘I don’t want to be disappointed.’
But manifestation isn’t about guarantees—it’s about alignment.
Your Vision Board isn’t a vending machine, it’s a mirror.
It reflects who you’re becoming.
It holds space for what’s possible beyond your current beliefs.
And if limiting beliefs are exactly what’s getting in your way?
Guess what—we’re working on that in the Remarkable Relationships course too.
From identifying old thought loops to clearing out subconscious stories that say ‘you can’t have it all’—we get right to the root.
Doors are currently open.
Like you learnt in last week’s episode…
Your brain doesn’t know the difference between what’s real and what’s vividly imagined.
So imagine well.
Create a board that sparks delight.
That whispers, ‘It’s coming.’
Because I promise you—if you can imagine it, you can start becoming the person who creates it.
That’s what you learnt in last week’s episode – if you missed it, go back and have a listen.
And one last thing—if you find that imagining a positive future brings up anxiety (so normal, by the way), check out Episode 31 where I guide you through a 2-minute visualisation to help reset your nervous system.
You’ll feel grounded again in no time.
So, beautiful dreamer:
Make your board.
Make it big, bold, gentle, sparkly, sacred—whatever feels right for you.
You are the artist of your life.
So go make it visible.
Until next time—keep imagining big, loving deeper, and saying yes to your dreams.
And if you want my support in helping you through this process, I invite you to join me for Remarkable Relationships.
This is the program I created after learning the exact formula needed to welcome in my now-husband, to heal multiple physical illnesses, to overcome depression and anxiety, and to build a business that I love, and that pays me more than what my day job as a newsreader and journalist did.
Because when we learn how to have a healthy relationship with ourself, then we can create healthy relationships with ALL corners of our life.
And that’s what this 3-month program teaches you:
How to come into alignment so you can create a life of your choosing.
